Tailing Tales Charters is focused on providing light tackle inshore fishing in the lower Tampa Bay area and the nearby areas of Manatee County, Sarasota and Bradenton. Captain Kris Winkel has extensive knowledge and experience fishing the Tampa Bay area, having lived and fished the inshore waters of Tampa Bay his entire life. Tampa Bay is Florida’s largest estuary, with vast numbers of grass flats, creeks, shoals, mangroves and shore lines to fish. This area is home to a variety of fish species and great fishing spots including the Skyway Bridge, Egmont key, Manatee River and Terra Ceia Bay. The most common and sought after sportfish are Tarpon, Snook, Snapper, Redfish, Trout & Triple fish. Take a look at a recent fishing for Tarpon video. Fishing the inshore waters of Tampa Bay is for the whole family, with calm shallow waters not far from shore and an abundance of wildlife to see make Tampa, Sarasota and Bradenton an ideal location for a family fishing vacation.
